Holy cow.

So I have not written about food in almost 2 months... wow.

I havebeen working hard. Grilling Thursday-Saturday at Shelter Harbor Golf Club and as July starts that will change to Wednesday-Saturday. Tuesday is prep.

Veal chops, sirloins, skirt steaks, etc.

I have learned a lot about meat and have gotten even better with knife cuts. Cleanup is always easy and smooth.

Living on the beach and having basically as close to perfect a life as I could imagine.

Do not want to return to Providence, ever.

TenTables, Cambridge, Mass.

Miguel's birthday dinner.

I had
Jumbo asparagus with chorizo gravy, shaved Manchego cheese, and a 5 minute egg.
Seared medium rare salmon fillet with blood orange and picholine olive tapenade and artichokes in white wine with pine nuts.
Chocolate terrine with thai basil ice cream.

We split
Fromage blanc cheesecake with marinated Oregon sour cherries.

He had
Haddock stew with bacon..... it was probably the best soup I have ever had. There was something else in there too.
Marinated skirt steak with pea tendrils and handcut fries with garlic aioli.
Macoun apple and walnut bread pudding.

It's called TenTables. There's one in Cambridge and one in Jamaica Plain. The hole meal with a beer was 101 plus tip. The cheesecake was complimentary, and was probably the best I have ever had. French style whipped with meringue. Like mousse and cheesecake and meringue had a love affair with some cherries on top. Nice size of food with a small dessert. 33 a head on most Sundays except holidays. Definitely going back.

I MET THOMAS KELLER. I have his new book. He won a James Beard Foundation award, and I have a picture of us with him wearing it. I love this book.

And I have a kitchenaid artisan stand mixer. It is white. It is shiny. It has a meat grinder attachment. I will be cooking for my sister's graduation. I will be drooling at the amount of food I have to prepare. I will get a lot of practice with knife cuts.

Going to go test out my new Global. Sweet.
